In drip irrigation systems, besides drip lines and emitters, PE water supply pipes play a very important role. It is recommended to choose good quality products with reasonable cost.

Pipe Size Selection Guide:

Choose the pipe size based on the total flow rate on each pipeline. For example, if a pipe line is 100 m long, the plant spacing is 2.5 m, and each plant uses a dripper with a flow rate of 20 L/h, the pipe size can be determined as follows:

– Total flow on the pipeline: 100 m ÷ 2.5 m × 20 L/h = 800 L/h.

– Based on the recommended table below, a 16 mm pipe should be selected.

Similarly, if micro-sprinklers with a flow rate of 50 L/h are used:

– Total flow calculation: 100 m ÷ 2.5 m × 50 L/h = 2,000 L/h.

– Therefore, the recommended pipe size is 25 mm.
